Description
An established environmental law firm is currently seeking a senior or mid-level Environmental Scientist to perform environmental due diligence services. The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of experience with environmental due diligence services including: performance or review of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, knowledge of state and federal regulatory programs and understanding of commercial real estate lending and redevelopment. We are seeking an ASTM-defined “Environmental Professional” to fill a full-time position. No travel is required. While our office is in Kansas City, remote work will be considered. Salary is commensurate with experience; retirement and other benefits provided. We are seeking candidates interested in long-term employment with room for professional growth. The ideal candidate should have the following experience and skills:
At least three years of experience with environmental due diligence projects, such as Phase Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or geology, or a related science
Knowledge and experience in assessing various property types (including but not limited to gas stations, dry cleaners, printing facilities, industrial and manufacturing sites, and automotive repair and body shops)
Experience in evaluating all types of environmental regulatory cases, such as LUST, State Hazardous Wastes, and NPL sites
Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must
Time management, organizational and strong interpersonal skills are a must
Client-focused and team player
Professional registration is a plus (i.e. Professional Engineer or Registered Geologist)
