- AVEVA announced it will combine with Schneider Electric software business to create one of the world’s largest industrial software companies.

- AVEVA acquires Tribon Solutions, the leading worldwide provider of design software and services to the marine industry.

- AVEVA introduces the world's leading 3D streaming technology to view plant models.

- CADCentre changes its name to AVEVA.
- CADCentre acquires the rights to the Open Plant Environment (OPE).
- World’s first plant design system for concurrent global project execution (now AVEVA Global).
2000:
- Korean office is opened.
- Malaysian office is opened.
1999:
- Richard Longdon appointed as CEO.
- VANTAGE plant data management system for large engineering projects acquired.
- Tribon: Launches world’s first concurrent 3D review of live marine product models.
1998:
- CADCentre acquired the 3D design software customer base of AEA Technology (‘AEAT’).
- CADCentre took full control of its sales and support operations in Japan by acquiring the CADCentre business conducted by its distributor KBK.

- World’s first Internet-based collaborative plant design solution (HyperPlant).
1996:
- CADCentre listed on London Stock Exchange.
- World’s first immersive visual engineering centre for plant design.
1995:
- Tribon: Launches world’s first panel line control system.

- Dr Bob Bishop is appointed Managing Director of CADCentre.
- CADCentre Inc. office opened in Houston, Texas.

- CADCentre becomes a private company.
- John Chilvers is appointed as the first managing director of the newly privatised CADCentre.
1979:
- World’s first major 3D plant design project (a sugar refinery in the Philippines) completed by Isopipe.
- World’s first intelligent P&ID (PEGS) launched at ACHEMA.
1976:
- World’s first 3D plant design system (PDMS) with object-based engineering database.
- World’s first automatic pipe router.

- CADCentre takes over GINO graphics library product from Cambridge University.
