The recipe!
The purpose of this role is to serve as the frontline of equipment reliability, concentrating on reactive repairs, preventive maintenance activities, and facilitating continuous improvement during 24/7 operations that support multiple facilities, as part of a small yet highly skilled team.
Collaborate within a small shift-based team to support multiple facilities, working both on your own and collectively
Provide reactive engineering support to production, addressing breakdowns and priority issues as needed
Deliver planned maintenance to ensure asset reliability and availability
Work with minimal supervision, making swift, effective decisions to resolve problems and prioritize support
Utilise mechanical, electrical, and PLC control engineering skills to troubleshoot issues during shifts
Adhere to company practices for health & safety, food safety, and legal compliance
Supervise external contractors to ensure they follow company procedures during reactive tasks
Handle a diverse range of engineering assets competently
Execute reactive maintenance tasks efficiently
Report unresolved equipment issues to relevant functions and attend MOS meetings as needed
Identify opportunities to enhance asset reliability and engineering processes
Effectively use CMMS to log and track maintenance work
Requirements
Non-negotiables
5 Years Engineering experience in a Production/Manufacturing environment
Demonstrable mechanical and electrical competence through training and experience - Level 3 Qualification
Strong IT skills to include use of Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Good problem-solving skills
Good time management and ability to make timely decisions
Ability to work alone or as part of a team
Alignment to Weetabix values
Are always curious to finding new ways to do business!
Have the ability to demonstrate how you keep up to date in your field of expertise
