Asset Servicing Global Operations and Technology group provides global solutions tailored to meet our clients' unique needs to help enhance the management, administration and oversight of their investment process and deliver the tools they need to expand their ability to process, monitor and measure investment data around the world.

The primary focus of the Technology Relationship Manager is to be the central point of contact and advocate for our top-tier platinum clients. The Technology Relationship Manager will be responsible for forging strong relationships with our platinum clients and fostering collaborative conversations around the firms' architectures and strategic plans, with the aim of driving towards an enhanced and more integrated operating model. This is a high-profile senior role in a highly ambitious and motivated global team of technology professionals.

The ideal Technology Relationship Manager has a combination of strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, mixed with technical awareness.

The Technology Relationship Manager will support the client relationship by providing leadership, project portfolio oversight, and client-related KPIs that reflect the health of the relationship from a technology perspective. The role of a Technology Relationship Manager will be pivotal in bringing new digital capabilities to the client globally and on-boarding the new business that is being generated.

The successful candidate will have an aptitude for technical solutions but will have a strong understanding of the business services we support.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster strong and supportive relationships with assigned platinum client(s).
  • Serve as primary technology contact and strong advocate for clients within BNY Mellon.
  • Provide leadership in addressing technology challenges that are negatively impacting the client relationship.
  • Promote new product capabilities through identifying areas of opportunities with the client.
  • Foster open communications and collaboration with clients, exploring opportunities to enhance the client operating model.
  • Drive the delivery of the client change agenda through partnership with BNYM technology departments.
  • Be accountable for the successful and timely delivery of the portfolio of change requested by the client.
  • Represent Technology at client relationship functions and internal service forums.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance, computing, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of Asset Servicing functions including Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency, Trade Processing, etc.
  • Previous experience working with client is strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills to bring different people or groups together to solve client challenges
  • Knowledge of both FIS InvestOne or Eagle accounting platforms strongly preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster trusting relationships
  • Experience coordinating work across multiple disciplines or organizations and be adept at building consensus across organizational and functional lines
  • Influencing skills
  • Must demonstrate accountability and responsibility
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with experience presenting to clients
  • Strong analytical skills combined with project management experience
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects and priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong software skills, including Word, Excel, Jira, Confluence, MS Project and Powerpoint
  • Project management experience in technology or financial services industry is a plus
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is beneficial
