The UK Semiconductor Centre (UKSC) is a newly established, government-backed centre with a bold mission: to drive economic growth and strengthen the UK’s position in the global semiconductor industry. Backed by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology and mobilised by the CSA Catapult, the Centre will act as the national focal point for collaboration, investment, and innovation in this strategically vital sector. With semiconductors underpinning everything from AI and telecoms to clean energy and defence, this is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape the UK’s technological future.

We are seeking an exceptional leader to serve as the inaugural Chief Executive of UKSC. This role demands a strategic thinker with deep technical and commercial understanding of the semiconductor industry, capable of navigating complex stakeholder environments and inspiring confidence across government, industry, and academia. You will set the national agenda for semiconductor growth, champion UK capabilities internationally, and build a high-performing team to deliver impact across investment, technology, skills, and global partnerships.
