Position Summary
As the Commercial Engagement & Advocacy Director for Europe & International at ViiV Healthcare, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives that enhance the company's commercial presence and advocacy efforts across diverse markets. This role involves leading cross-functional teams to drive engagement with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, patient advocacy groups, and policymakers, while ensuring alignment with ViiV Healthcare's mission to improve the lives of people living with HIV.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy Development:
Crafting and implementing comprehensive commercial strategies to maximize market penetration and revenue growth.
Analyzing market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to inform strategic decisions.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, patient/advocacy groups (including individual patients), and government agencies to understand needs, concerns and perspectives to assist in shaping organisational strategy
Facilitating collaboration with external partners to advocate for policies and initiatives that support the HIV community.
Advocacy Leadership:
Leading advocacy efforts to raise awareness and address the needs of people living with HIV through programmes such as VIP buddy programmes, Expert Forums, Preceptorships, Next Gen development
Representing ViiV Healthcare at industry conferences, events, and forums to champion the company's mission and objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Working closely with internal teams, including marketing, medical affairs, clinical development, and market access, to ensure cohesive execution of commercial and advocacy plans.
Coordinating with regional and global teams to align strategies and share best practices.
Program/External Event Management:
Overseeing the planning and execution of engagement programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing the company's presence and influence in the market, including programmes such as Symposia and P2P opportunities (not booth), Expert Forum, Regional Congresses
Monitoring program performance and making data-driven adjustments to optimize outcomes.
Oversight of Internal Event Management: Townhalls, G12 and VELVET meetings, EU Senior Leader meetings.
Compliance and Ethical Standards:
Ensuring all commercial and advocacy activities adhere to regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
Promoting a culture of integrity and transparency within the organization.

Hybrid working applies to this role and it is based at our UK HQ, Central London. (2/3 days a week onsite)
Basic Qualification
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals
Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with a focus on stakeholder engagement, advocacy, and program management
Proven track record of success in developing and executing engagement and advocacy strategies within the Pharma Specialty Care environment.
Strong understanding of the market dynamics in Europe and International markets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Experience in HIV therapy landscape would be an advantage.
