Science Teacher
Location: Derby
Start Date: ASAP (Will consider a later start for the right candidate)
Contract: Long-term temporary role with a view to a permanent position
Salary: MPS / UPS (dependent on experience)

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Derby, teaching KS3 and KS4 pupils. This is a long-term position starting ASAP, with a strong view to becoming permanent for the right candidate.
This role would suit a teacher who is confident delivering engaging Science lessons, maintaining high expectations, and supporting pupils of mixed abilities in a structured and supportive environment.

The Role

Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 (Biology, Chemistry and Physics)
Planning and delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons
Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs
Managing classroom behaviour effectively and positively
Working collaboratively with the Science department and wider staff teamThe Ideal Candidate

Holds QTS, QTLS or a UK-recognised Science PGCE
Experience teaching Science at secondary level (KS3 & KS4)
Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies
Passionate about pupil progress and inclusive education
Available to start immediately or at short notice
