A top trading firm is seeking an HPC Network Engineer to join their team in London. You will play a key role in building the next generation of networking solutions for an organization operating at the forefront of technology and finance. What You'll Do

• Design, deploy, and troubleshoot high-performance network infrastructure for large-scale HPC environments.
• Collaborate with HPC Systems and other teams to scale research environments.
• Lead capacity planning for data center networks and select products for next-generation computing.
• Develop scripts and processes to improve efficiency and automation.
• Mentor team members and provide detailed technical documentation.
• Engage with external vendors and partners for project execution and future initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of experience in network engineering for large-scale HPC or similar environments.
• Expertise in Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols (OSPF, BGP, PIM, IGMP, RoCEv2, VXLAN) and spine-leaf architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Arista (EOS), Cisco (NX-OS), Nvidia (Cumulus), SONiC-based switches.
• Strong design skills in computing and grid networks, including capacity planning and lifecycle project management.
• Proficiency with packet analysis tools (tcpdump, Wireshark) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Salt).
• Familiarity with Python, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, GitHub is desirable.
• Knowledge of fiber optics technology and cabling standards up to 800 Gbps.
• Experience with public cloud networks (AWS, GCP, Azure) and AI-style network designs is a plus
